Today, Caterpillar employs over 72,000 employees. These employees have earned more than 2,800 patents within the last six years. This company claims it is dedicated to sustaining the environment and improving the quality of life. Caterpillar is currently a Fortune 100 company and the world’s largest manufacturer of mining and construction equipment as well as engines and industrial turbines.

Explore this organization’s Website. Prepare a two-page report indicating your responses to the following questions. You should be prepared to discuss your findings with the class. Identify the type of employee selection method that Caterpillar utilizes. What type of qualifications does Caterpillar look for in employees? What type of selection testing do you imagine is prevalent at this organization? Why? How does the company comply with federal laws in its hiring process? How does Caterpillar demonstrate that it values its employees? Does this organization sound like a good place to work? Why or why not?
