|Confidence interval ||A range of values constructed from sample data so that the parameter occurs within that range at a specified probability. The specified probability is called the level of confidence|
|Point estimate ||The value, computed from sample information, which is used to estimate the population parameter.|
|Point estimator ||An estimator of a population parameter such that each of its possible outcomes is a single number (such as 4.1 or - 3.2).|
