Directions: Go to the website for a newspaper. Here are some suggestions:
The Globe and Mail
Vancouver Sun
St. John Telegraph-Journal
Look at the headlines of the major stories. Did you notice any dangling modifiers? Look at the articles--can you spot any there? For an extra challenge, try rewriting a headline to include a dangling modifier. Can you make something odd or humorous out of a current event?
