Bond Ratings Look up Coca-Cola (KO), Gateway (GTW), AT&T (T), and Navistar International (NAV). For each company, follow the "Financial Highlights" link and fi nd the bond rating. Which companies have an investment-grade rating? Which companies are rated below investment grade? Are any unrated? When you fi nd the credit rating for one of the companies, click on the "S&P Issuer Credit Rating" link. What are the considerations listed that Standard & Poor's uses to issue a credit rating?
Bond Indentures Look under the Edgar link for American Electric Power (AEP) and find the most recent bond issue for the company. What was the amount of bonds issued? What are the coupon rate, maturity date, payment dates, ranking, and restrictive covenants on the bonds? What are the risk factors of the bonds outlined in the prospectus?
