Figure 9-8 on the bottom of page 203 has an error. The arrows should have only have one directional pointer on each of them. The top arrow should point only to the right (from the client to the server). The middle arrow should point only to the left (from the server back to the client). The bottom arrow should point only to the right (from the client to the server again). The process is not bidirectional at each step.

p. 493 paragraph 2, line 5, "This subject is covered in more detail in Chapter 24" should be "This subject is covered in more detail in Chapter 23"
