Cancun

Narrator: If you don't like water, Cancun is not the place for you. This island specializes in water activities. Para-sailing is a popular sport that's not as dangerous as it looks.

Tourist: I would do it again most definitely.

Narrator: A ten-minute trip will cost you about $20. Now if you are afraid to get your feet wet, try a boat. They're great for adults, kids, and adults who act like kids. Party boats do big business. Many include drinks, lunch, and snorkeling for about $25. Glass-bottom boats are another option, giving you the sensation of scuba diving under water.

Tourist 2: I don't scuba dive so for me this is really an experience.

Narrator: If you need to get away from your congested getaway, try Isla Mujeres, the island of women. Just a couple of miles from Cancun, the name is a mystery. Some say it was once a retreat for the sacred virgins of the Mayans; others say it was a harem. Today the native women are gone, but the turtles remain as well as other sea creatures. Take a ferry there; the fare is about two to three dollars. It takes 30 minutes. Like the rest of Cancun, this island of women is clearly as rich and fertile as ever.
