  • Stock Investor Pro end of chapter questions tie this useful CD-ROM more closely with the book. The Stock Investor Pro CD is bundled free with every new copy of the book. It is a user-friendly stock screening and analysis program that has a database of virtually every stock on all major exchanges. It is a great research tool for classwork in investment theory and fundamental stock analysis.
  • Includes more real world examples and applications, with many new and updated "Real World of Investing" boxes that highlight interesting situations affecting corporations and their investors so that students can apply theory to the real world. New part openers feature prominent professionals who are impacting the investments world.
  • More global information has been added, and is easily referenced with a new Global Icon. The world markets are becoming even more important, and students need to understand them.
  • New Online Learning Center (OLC) www.mhhe.com/hirtblock7e provides students and instructors with a wealth of supplementary materials to enrich the learning and teaching experience. The site includes student study materials, and web links, including a link to "Finance Around the World," which is an outstanding global financial resource that provides "live real-time links" for researching and exploring investments and corporate finance online, country by country.
  • Each chapter has been thoroughly updated to include the latest investments-related information. For example, Chapter 2 (Security Markets: Present and Future) discusses the effects of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the global economy; Chapter 3 (Participating in the Market) includes content on the 2001 Tax Act and its effect on retirement and estate planning.
