articles  the words the (definite), a and an (indefinite)
count nouns  nouns that can be quantified or enumerated
modals  verbs that fuction as helpers within a sentence
noncount nouns  nouns that cannot be quantified or enumerated. Such nouns--like mud and freedom--do not have plural forms.
two-word verbs  a verb that consists of a verb followed by a preposition; also called phrasal verbs.
