base of a power  The repeated factor in a power.
base-a logarithm function  The function f(x) = loga(x) where a ≠ 1 and a > 0.
base-a logarithm of x  The exponent that is used on the base a to obtain x.
common base  Base 10.
common logarithm  The base 10 logarithm.
