arithmetic sequence  A sequence in which each term after the first is obtained by adding a fixed amount to the previous term.
binomial expansion  The expression obtained from raising a binomial to a whole power.
finite sequence  A function whose domain is the set of positive integers less than or equal to a fixed positive integer.
geometric sequence  A sequence in which each term after the first is obtained by multiplying the preceding term by a constant.
geometric series  The indicated sum of a geometric sequence.
mean  The (arithmetic) mean is the sum of n numbers divided by n.
median  The middle number in a set of numbers ranked from least to greatest. When there is an even number of values, the median is the arithmetic mean of the two middle values.
n!  The product of the positive integers from 1 through n.
Pascal's triangle  A triangular array of coefficients for binomial expansions.
sequence  A list of numbers.
series  The indicated sum of the terms of a sequence.
