Astronomers cannot yet measure the Hubble constant with certainty. Suppose its value turned out to be 80 km-second-1-Mpc-1 rather than 65 km-second-1 Mpc-1. (a) Does this larger value imply a smaller or larger age for the Universe? (b) Calculate the age of the Universe based on this larger value using the simple model that we discussed on pages 516 and 517. Note: You will need to convert the 80 km-second-1-Mpc-1 value to seconds-1, as shown in the discussion there.
