Many people today are much less healthier than people 100 years ago. Of course, modern science has cure many diseases that used to kill many people premature. However, lifestyles used to much healthier. For example men and women 100 years ago worked much harder than they do today. They have had strong muscles and strong hearts because of they made a lot of physical labor. People today may work long hours but they spent most of their time sitting at a desk. As a result of, people have to schedule time for exercise. People also ate healthier foods than we did today. They ate more whole grains and virtually no processed foods and their food also had no preservatives. Another reason I feel that people used to be healthier is that they had fewer expectants. They expect life would be hard and they were usually right. Today we believe that our lives should be easy and many people feel great anger and hostility when our lives are not. These negative feeling contribute to poor health. I think if we adopted the lifestyle of 100 years ago, we would be happier and healthier than we are today.
