There are high quality maps here of every region in the world, as well as historical maps, city maps, and other map-related links. Note that there are over 700 maps available for the United States alone! A good working knowledge of geography is important to all aspects of political science; for this chapter, it is particularly helpful to know where the key states you are interested in actually are - and what ther states are nearby.

A Chronology of US Historical Documents, maintained by the University of Oklahoma Law Center
This site is a handy listing of various documents, speeches, etc. of importance in American political history, from pre-colonial times to the present. For example, the inaugural addresses of the Presidents are listed. At this site you can also see the different national flags in American history, and current flags of the states and other territories.

If you scroll up from this list, you will find a wide range of information sources on various aspects of the United States federal government.
