Set the chart mode to star atlas. Set open clusters to on and turn on the deep sky display. Center on the Orion Nebula and zoom in until the field is 2°. The blue circles you see outline three open clusters of stars. You should be able to see about a dozen stars in and near the clusters. Click on the stars and record their spectral types. Center on three other constellations you select at random and record the spectral types of any stars in the 2° field. How does the number of O and B stars you found near the Orion Nebula compare with the average number in the other fields? What do you think these stars have to do with the visible light from the Orion Nebula?
