Cases
New to the forth edition are nine full-length cases for use with the book. These cases contain rich detail about the market structure and conduct of nine firms in very different industries. They complement the textbook and show how firms actually use tools like demand elasticities, markup pricing, third-degree price discrimination, bundling, Herfindahl indices, game theory, and predatory pricing to enhance profits or shape business strategy. Cases are based on actual decisions by companies that include Microsoft, Heinz, Visa, Staples, American Airlines, Sprint, and Kodak. The cases can be found on the Instructor CD or within the Instructor Manual. A sample case can also be viewed here.

Study Guide
In addition to the numerous problems and answers contained in the textbook, an updated study guide prepared by the author is available to enhance student performance at minimal cost to students and professors.

Website
The website provides a host of information for both instructors and students. The instructor area contains downloadable versions of the cases and PowerPoint presentations, as well as chapter outlines.

PowerPoint Slides
These chapter-by-chapter presentations can be found on the Instructor’s CD or in the instructor area of the website. Slides include animated figures and graphs as well as tables for relevant concepts such as Cournot and Stackelberg equilibrium or normal form and extensive form games.

Instructor Manual/Testbank
The instructor manual/testbank, prepared by Michael Baye and Patrick Scholten, provide summaries of each chapter, a teaching outlines, and complete answers to all end-of-chapter problems. The testbank includes over 250 problems and over 1000 multiple-choice questions. Both the manual and testbank are found on the Instructor CD in MS Word format. Additionally, the instructor manual can be downloaded from the instructor area of the website.

Transparency Masters
Transparency masters for all book figures are available in electronic format on the Instructor CD. These masters allow professors to either incorporate the book art in lecture PowerPoint presentations or print acetates for overhead projectors.
