Exercise 13: Mollusca
Exercise 13 is a study of the major molluscan classes. It begins with observations of living and preserved snails (Class Gastropoda). The major activity is a dissection of a freshwater bivalve. This is followed by observations of members of the classes Cephalopoda, Polyplacophora, and Scaphopoda. The exercise concludes with a study of the relationships among the classes using a cladogram in worksheet 13.1.
