    1.  The National Consumers League sponsors the National Fraud Information Center, a website providing up-to-date alerts and warnings about fraud. Log on to www.fraud.org and find out more about scams against businesses, fraud against the elderly, and the latest fraud alerts. What can police departments and investigators do to help prevent businesses and the elderly from becoming victims of fraud?

    2.  Learn more about interacting with victims of identity theft by checking out the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse at www.privacyrights.org. Click on "Identity Theft" and read the article "Enhancing Law Enforcement-Identity Theft Communication." What facts about victims of identity theft should an investigatormation should the investigator obtain? What information should the investigator be prepared to give the victim?
