AutoShapes  A group of ready-made shapes that include such basic shapes as rectangles and circles, plus a variety of lines and connectors, block arrows, flowchart symbols, stars and banners, and callouts.
Borders  Outside edges of a table.
Cell padding  Spacing between the boundary or the cell and the text inside the cell.
Cells  Area at the intersection of a row and column.
Drawing canvas  An area upon which you can draw multiple shapes; shapes contained within the drawing canvas can be moved and resized as a unit. The drawing canvas helps arrange and resize the objects in your drawing.
Drawing objects  AutoShapes, curves, lines, and WordArt that are part of a Word document.
Drawing toolbar  Toolbar containing the buttons for Draw, Rotate, AutoShapes, Line, Arrow, Rectangle, Oval, Text Box, Insert WordArt, Insert Clip Art, Fill Color, Line Color, Font Color, Line Style, Dash Style, Arrow Style, Shadow, and 3-D.
End marks  Used to indicate the end of a row or a cell (?); viewed when the Show/Hide button is () clicked.
Fill  Color, pattern, or image inside a drawing object.
Graphic filters  Allow images with different formats to be imported into Word.
Gridlines  Lines separating rows and columns in a table.
Nested table  Table inside of the cell of another table.
Pictures  Graphics created from another file.
Separator character  Characters such as paragraph marks (), tabs (?), or commas you choose to indicate where you want text to separate when you convert a table to text, or where you want new rows or columns to begin when you convert text to a table.
Sizing handles  Square handles that appear at each corner and along the sides of the rectangle that surrounds a selected drawing object; drag a sizing handle to resize an object.
Table move handle  Used to drag a table to another location by holding down the right mouse button.
Table resize handle  Used to enlarge or reduce a table by clicking and holding down the right mouse button.
Text box  Movable, resizable container for text or graphics.
WordArt  Text created with special effects by inserting a Microsoft Office drawing object.
Wrapping  How text flows around an image.
