As we have seen in all the previous chapters, there are a number of factors that help us determine the best communication strategies and skills to employ in any situation. For example, as you analyze your audience, you will choose the main points, words, length of presentation, supporting materials, and so on, all according to your specific audience. In addition, you may decide to use a panel discussion or a symposium based on the specific demands of the situation. Finally, in a forum discussion, you may have to adapt the structure (as we have seen in the Midtown State University case), to more effectively use audience members' time.
