1. Use the Internet to take the broad topic "American justice" and narrow it to one famous trial. Write a short paragraph describing the trial. Possible Strategy: Visit Librarians' Index to the Internet (lii.org) and click on "Government and Law" and then "Trials." 2. Find and print a list of topics that would be suitable for a classroom speech. Circle five of the topics and rank them from most interesting (rated "1") to least interesting (rated "5"). Possible Strategy: Go to www.yahoo.com, click on "Society and Culture," and then "Issues and Causes." Select one or more of the categories to see a list of topics. |
