The federal government has a new program entitled, “Leave No Child Behind.” The implication is that despite a student’s potential academic deficits, be they neurological, emotional, or cognitive, that every student deserves to graduate from high school and seek a college degree. Do you agree with the premise underlying the “Leave No Child Behind” legislation? What are the implications of this policy on the structuring of public schools?
