Many more people unintentionally feed animals by leaving garbage cans and recycling bins where animals have access to the contents. But when we intentionally or unintentionally feed wild animals we are changing the population dynamics of local wildlife. What animal behaviors (and thus species with that behavior) are selected for? Which are selected against? How can feeding animals decrease diversity of local wildlife?
