Do you find any character in A Doll's House especially sympathetic? How did you feel toward Dr. Rank? Mrs. Linde? Nora? Torvald? Krogstad? Choose the character you found most sympathetic and explain what aspects of his or her behavior endeared him or her to you.

Compare Krogstad and Torvald. In what ways are they similar? How are they different? How would you characterize Nora's relationship with each man?

Why do you think Nora allows Torvald to read his mail the evening they return from the tarantella? Were you surprised by her acquiescence? How did you feel about the outcome?
