Henderson was found guilty in Superior Court Thursday after a seven-day trial on charges of first-degree murder and sexual assault. The jury deliberated 35 minutes. Henderson showed no emotion as the verdict was read by Judge David Glenn. Jurors left the courtroom without comment.
A court official said that the six women jurors and two of the six

men were crying as they left. The jury had spent most of the day listening to closing arguments by prosecuting attorney Terry Johnson and Paul Cummings, a public defender who represented Henderson. Cummings said that he would appeal. Glenn scheduled a presentence hearing for Nov. 28 and sentencing for Dec. 1.
