Coverage of No Child Left Behind Legislation: NCLB will be introduced in Chapter 2 and then discussed in other chapters (such as 3, 8 and 9) as appropriate.
Assessment Chapter: Revised to be more practical, the new adds more examples of assessment of reading, writing, and content areas (more diagrams, charts, tables, rubrics), expands the discussion of authentic assessment, adds a new section on coping with standardized tests and teaching strategies for helping ELLs take standardized tests, and updates resources.
