Exploring the World Ocean strives to prepare students with the skills and cognitive abilities of science literate persons in the 21st Century. Using oceanography as the medium by which this goal is obtained, students are challenged to develop an understanding of the world ocean and how it works and to develop those skills and qualities most desired by employers in the work place. The organization of the text promotes learning that supports both of these outcomes. Explore and enjoy!
