Acid Rain and Data Reports

Below is a website created by the United States Geological Survey Branch of Quality Systems. At the website you will be able to read recent reports on acid rain, atmospheric deposition, and precipitation chemistry. There are also maps of the United States showing the levels of acid rain and other precipitates from air pollution. Go through the various maps for the different types of pollution. You will find that the data is collected around various towns and cities in the U.S. Check to see how your community is doing. Because you can also see maps over many years, you can also see if your community is improving in air quality.
