Stephen R. Schach is a Professor of Computer Science, Emeritus and Professor of Computer Engineering, Emeritus at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. Steve's research interests are in the field of software engineering in general and in the empirical analysis of open-source software in particular; he has some 130 refereed publications to his name. Steve has written several best-selling textbooks on software engineering and object-oriented systems analysis and design. His books, which have been adopted by hundreds of universities all over the world, have been translated into a variety of languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, and Dutch. Steve consults internationally and serves as an expert witness on software. |
