Expanding on Your Reading > Who's who in the newsroom?

1
Many students enter a journalism class with only a vague idea of what a reporter does, let alone what the rest of a newsroom staff does. Consider the job titles and descriptions on Page 24 of your text and select one that interests you. Explain what's interesting to you about the position. What do you think the daily routine is like for somebody in this role? What kinds of experience would a candidate for your chosen job likely need to be considered for it? Consider conducting an informational interview with someone in that position at your local newspaper.
