This chapter presented additional examples of the interrelationships among different regions of the body. When dysfunction occurs in an area, it is important to investigate all the involved factors to ensure that the proper treatment is given.

The anatomical review at the beginning of the chapter described the relationships between the hip and the knee. The section on palpation reinforced the concept that several structures span both regions. The sections on range of motion assessment, manual muscle testing, dermatomes, and myotomes described how to put the information to use for each of the different pathologies covered. Finally, various treatments were discussed to help effectively treat the problem.
