  1. Audiolingualism is a language teaching methodology that is based on the idea in behaviorist psychology that learning is a result of habit formation. Good language habits are believed to be formed via repetition, imitation, and reinforcement.
  2. An implicit linguistic system is an unconscious system that lies outside of awareness. This unconscious system consists of a variety of components that interact when we use language (e.g., lexical, syntactical, phonological, etc.).
  3. Acquisition orders refer to the sequential order in which various grammatical features are acquired over time.
