Entrepreneurship Development at the University of Surrey
In the modern knowledge-based economy, there is very considerable interest in technological entrepreneurship and, as Galbraith (1985) has recognised, the complex relationship between universities, government research establishments and established firms. The aim is to exploit the intellectual property that is generated from research and to encourage technological commercialisation and exploitation in order to create vibrant economies similar to those found in Silicon Valley or Route 128 in Boston.
