How the World Was Made

In “How the World Was Made,” the owl and the panther are given the ability to see in the dark because they stay awake for seven nights in a row. Choose an animal that has unique survival mechanisms—for example, a chameleon can blend into its surroundings. Use reliable Internet sources or the library to choose an animal and gather information. Then write two short paragraphs about this creature. In the first paragraph, describe the animal and how it survives in the wild. In the second paragraph, write a short creation myth about how the animal developed or was given its ability.
