About the Author

Judith Stanford is Professor of English at Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire, where, for the past fifteen years, she has taught courses in literature and writing. She has also taught at Cape Cod Community College, Merrimack College (North Andover, Massachusetts) and the University of California at Santa Barbara. She received the B.A. degree from Colby College (Waterville, Maine) and both the M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Professor Stanford's books include Connections, now in its third edition, Developing Connections, now in its second edition, Guidelines for Writers, and Responding to Literature, now in it's fourth edition, all published by McGraw-Hill.
