Comment on the use of State Children’s Health Insurance Programs to provide health insurance to the parents of Medicaid eligible children. The article notes that private health insurance coverage for poor parents is diminishing and argues that this program fills that gap. Others (not cited in this article) argue that the causality is reversed. Businesses that used to cover these parents drop coverage once they see that government will do it. What do you think?
