This site has some humorous examples of misplaced and dangling modifiers. Do you think sites like this are helpful? Does humor help you master grammatical skills? Why or why not?

Activity 2:

Go to a web site of a newspaper. Here are some suggestions:

Washington Post

New York Times

USA Today

Look at the headlines of the major stories. Did you notice any dangling modifiers? Look at the articles--can you spot any there? For an extra challenge, try rewriting a headline to include a dangling modifier. Can you make something odd or humorous out of a current event?
