One day several years ago, my cousin and I were shopping in the small town where we lived. We had just parked our car, and we were walking through the parking lot when we saw an envelope on the ground. It was still sealed and it looked important. We opened it up and inside we found $500! We were only 16 and 17 years old, and that much money was a fortune. There was no name or address on the envelope, and we didn't know what to do. My cousin wanted to keep the money, but I didn't think that we should. We talked about it for a while and finally decided to take it to the police. A few hours later, a woman came in and claimed the money. She gave us $50 as a reward, and the local newspaper published a story about the two honest teenagers. I still feel good when I remember this incident. I'm sure that returning the money has given us more pleasure than spending it would have.
