Design and Simulation of Thermal Systems
N. V. Suryanarayana, Michigan Tech University
Oner Arici, Michigan Tech University

Design & Simulation of Thermal Systems is intended for mechanical engineering majors taking a thermal design course. It features outstanding practical coverage of thermal/fluid components and systems with thorough, optional review coverage of prerequisite thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer. Extensive case studies and practical examples show students how the thermal design is done, and the modern techniques used to simulate and optimize such designs.

This title takes an up-to-date approach, giving students exposure to the general design process, use of software tools for design analysis & simulation, and experimental methods. Report writing, economic factors, and ethical considerations are also discussed in the context of engineering practice and design.

The Book Website features solutions and instructor suggestions for course and project work; links to professional sites; and a link to the F-Chart website for accessing the EES software program.
