Internet Exercises

    1.  The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency website, www.dea.gov, provides a variety of statistics and information on drug use in this country. For the most recent drug-use statistics, log on to the website and click on "Statistics." Find the report entitled "Collective Statistics Concerning Drug Use." This report summarizes statistics from many drug-use surveys including the National Household Survey on Drug Abuse, the Drug Abuse Warning Network, and the Pride Survey.

    2.  Find out about another frequently abused type of drug, inhalants, by logging on to the National Criminal Justice Reference Service website at www.ncjrs.org. Under the heading "Drugs and Crime," read the report entitled "Inhalants Fact Sheet."
