Corporate Social Responsibility
Chapter OverviewChapter three asks whether business is obliged to serve only the interests of its owners or whether it must also serve the broader interests of society. To answer that question, the chapter describes the ethical defenses for and challenges to the theoretical basis of the classical, Kantian moral minimum, social contract, and stakeholder models of corporate social responsibility. Defenders of each model argue that their theory represents the best account of how business should be managed. |
