The third edition of Mannino's Database Design, Application Development,
and Administration text provides the foundation for the advanced
study of individual database management systems, electronic commerce applications,
and enterprise computing. The fundamental database technologies of each processing
environment are presented, and each technology's relationship to the advances
of e-commerce and enterprise computing is discussed.
In addition, Mannino teaches students how to apply relational databases in
solving basic and advanced database problems and cases. A wealth of worked-out
examples using Access and Oracle database applications and a rich number of
student projects that require manipulation of sample databases build student
skills via hands-on work. Students also learn how to design database applications
and support their designs with Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs). Mannino
