In all the chapters the Case Studies represent situations similar to those that the
medical assistant may encounter in daily practice. Students
are encouraged to consider the case study as they read each chapter. Jennifer has been a medical assistant for a year. She works with one physician in a busy multispecialty medical
facility. She is very competent in her job and has a good working relationship with her physician based
on mutual respect. On one busy Monday morning, the physician orders injections and various procedures in three different
exam rooms. Injections were ordered for two of the three patients. Jennifer is uncomfortable because
she is unsure of what injections were ordered for each patient. As you read through this chapter, think about what the medical assistant should do next and why. |
