Jeffrey R. Stewart graduated from Virginia Tech in Business Administration in 1953. Following his service as a jet fighter pilot in the USAF, he returned to Tech in 1956. He received his M.S. in Business Education there, and in 1965 he earned his doctorate from New York University. He has served his local community in Virginia as School Board Chair and as Chair of the Blacksburg Planning Commission. He taught at Virginia Tech for 36 years. He is the author or coauthor of more than 100 McGraw-Hill books, practice sets, and other publications. Barbara W. Trent holds B.S. and M.A. degrees from The Ohio State University. She currently has adjunct status at two Columbus, Ohio higher educational institutions-- Professor of Applied Management at Franklin University and of Office Administration at Columbus State Community College. Barbara’s previous experience includes 30 years as a Business Education Teacher, Department Head, and Administrator with South-Western City Schools, Grove City, Ohio. Barbara has also authored Accounting materials for McGraw-Hill and continues to conduct in-service for its Peachtree Accounting products. She speaks at local, state, and national conferences on a variety of business education topics and issues. Retired from full-time educational endeavors, Barbara enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She is also active in church and community organizations. |
