Joann Keyton received her B.A. from Western Michigan University (Summa Cum Laude, 1983), M.A. from The Ohio State University (1985), and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University (1987). Before her academic career, Joann was an analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City as well as a professional dancer. Joann grew up in Independence, MO--just down the street from Harry Truman.
