About the Authors

Janet McGregor Liles, CPhT

Janet is a seasoned 24 year pharmacy veteran. Her passion of the pharmacy profession has grown and flourished.

At the beginning of her career in pharmacy, third party insurance billing of pharmacy claims was virtually non existent. Times have changed, and so have the billing needs of pharmacy. Pharmacies filed less than 1% of claims forms in the 1980’s, while now pharmacies bill ~90% of all claims on behalf of the patient.

Janet’s pharmacy career has grown and changed with the times. She understands the need for all pharmacy personnel to be engaged in the business of pharmacy, as well as the outcome of that engagement. It is through experience and education that she offers future pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy personnel her knowledge and expertise in the area of third party billing.
