About the Author

Tim Harrower has been an award-winning editor, designer and columnist at newspapers both large (The Oregonian) and small (the Times chain of weekly publications in Beaverton, Ore.). Harrower, who previously taught at Portland State University, became a journalist back in the ’80s after his first career choice--beloved rock ’n’ roll superlegend--fizzled out. He currently consults on redesigns, hosts journalism workshops and maintains a dog-and-frog ranch with his wife, Robin, somewhere deep in the Oregon woods. Harrower’s previous book, The Newspaper Designer’s Handbook, has become a fixture in newsrooms and classrooms around the world. (13.0K)
