Which of the following errata apply to your copy of the book depends on which printing of the book you have. To determine which printing you have, look on the copyright page near the front of the book (the one with the McGraw-Hill logo on the upper left) and about a third of the way down the page you'll find a line starting with a string of numbers like 1 2 3 4 ... or 2 3 4 5 ... or 3 4 5 6 ... -- the first digit in this string is the printing that you have.

Where line numbers are used for a position on a page, we count all titles for chapters, sections, subsections, etc., but do not count the running head at the top of the page (with the page number), or captions or content for Figures, Tables, or Displays. Negative line numbers indicate that we are counting up from the bottom (e.g., line –1 is the last line, line –2 is the next-to-last line, etc.).
Bold highlighting indicates a correction to a file in the BookExamples folder rather than to material in the text. The corrections indicated below have all been applied to these files in the current BookExamples.zip archive, so you should download that afresh at this time from the "Student Edition" section of the Online Learning Center on the book's website, and discard your old versions of all 89 files there.

p. 205	Exercise 4-35, Line 5	Replace "29" with "6-29".
p. 245	In the Arena file Model 05-02.doe	In the Resource data module, in the row for the Resource with Name Ian (row 12), do all of the following: In the Type column change Fixed Capacity to Based on Schedule; in the Schedule Name column replace 1 by Ian Schedule (and this will gray out the entry in the Capacity column); in the Schedule Rule column replace Wait by Ignore; in both the Busy/Hour and Idle/Hour columns replace 0.0 by 18. Fortunately, this error does not invalidate anything said in the book about this model, and it was corrected in all subsequent models in the book that are based on this Model 05-02.doe.
