Phyllis Cox, MA, MT(ASCP) Phyllis is an associate professor of Allied Health Science and director of the Medical Assistant and Medical Technology Programs at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas, located in the beautiful foothills of the Ozarks. She teaches medical laboratory science, basic pharmacology, and clinical medical assisting. Phyllis has experience in clinical laboratory medicine, beginning her career as a medical technologist working in Arkansas and Louisiana. She has been teaching for over 35 years, entering med tech education as the first director of South Louisiana Medical Center, School of Medical Technology, and achieving accreditation by NAACLS in the first year. She enjoys any and all activities involving her beautiful grandchildren, Hayden, Addison, Peyton, and Camryn. Danielle Wilken, MS, MT(ASCP) Danielle is an associate professor and chair of the Health and Natural Sciences Department at Goodwin College in Connecticut. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Biology. Danielle holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Policy and Management and is currently pursuing an EdD in Educational Leadership. Danielle has worked as a medical technologist in community hospitals and a quality control laboratory for the American Red Cross. In addition to her clinical experience, she has served as faculty in medical assisting and clinical laboratory sciences departments. Danielle taught Clinical Laboratory Medicine for Physician Assistants at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and also has served as medical assisting faculty and program director for Goodwin College. In her capacity as a medical assisting faculty member, Danielle taught Clinical and Laboratory Procedures and Anatomy and Physiology. During her time as Medical Assisting Program Director, the program successfully completed the CAAHEP and ABHES self-study and site visit process. Danielle enjoys spending time with her family. |
