Chapter 21, The Courts

Most court coverage concentrates on the criminal courts. In these courts, in the sometimes lengthy process that begins with arrest and ends with a jury verdict and sentence can be found the drama, excitement and suspense of a four-star movie or play. Reporters are given front-row seats, and in return the public expects stories that reflect the tension of the proceedings.
