Main Changes In The New Edition
Changes to the new edition include:
Simplification of design by removal of superfluous boxed features and cartoons. This has made the second edition less cluttered and more approachable for students.
Integration of Boss articles into chapter content. In the new edition the information that these articles deliver, such as references to relevant events, will be incorporated into the text’s content to illustrate the deeper concepts of the book, rather than as end of chapter material.
The second edition will be full colour, adding further interest and vibrancy to the text and assisting students in their learning by presenting more aesthetically pleasing tables, figures, graph and photos.
The second edition continues mandate to offer emerging OB knowledge by introducing new information on several topics such as employee engagement, four-drive theory, resilience, communication blogs and wikis, psychological harassment, separating socioemotional conflict from constructive conflict, Goleman’s emotional intelligence model and the automaticity and emotionality of the perceptual process.
More information included on corporate responsibility and ethics and updated material on group polarisation and the influence of social relations on the workplace and technology in work.
